BRIEF SUMMARY:
In January 1984, the decrepit corpse of 10-year-old Katsuragi Sachie rolls into
a weed-ridden river bed. The hand of the youth standing dazed nearby is coloured
red with blood. 15 years later, the statute of limitation passes without the
arrest of the criminal. Goda Ryoji, that youth, quits working as a doctor at a
university hospital and goes abroad. It is 2008 in France. Ryoji, who is now
working as a detective at the Interpol headquarters, meets a young lady called
Katsuragi Sachi in Paris just before he returns to Japan for training. Ryoji
observes Sachi while she enjoys sightseeing, and when they part, he tells her,
“We’ll meet again.”
