Title: Ie ni Kaeru to Tsuma ga Kanarazu Shinda Furi wo Shite Imasu (When I Get Home, My Wife Always Pretends to be Dead) Live Action DVD
Eikura Ken Yasuda Ryohei Otani Sumika Nono
BRIEF SUMMARY: When salaryman Jun (Ken Yasuda) gets home,
he finds his wife Chie (Nana Eikura) bleeding from her mouth and lying on the
floor. He is shocked by the scene, but it turns out the blood is just ketchup
and she is pretending to be dead. Without telling him why, Chie pretends to be
dead everyday. Jun is dumbfounded by his wife's behavior, but he begins to feel
uneasy with her.
Tokyo Salary man Jun (Ken Yasuda) has been married to his second wife, younger
small town girl Chie (Nana Eikura), for three years when he gets home from work
one night to find Chie lying on the floor with a knife stuck in her chest. Just
as Jun is about to call for help Chie sits up and laughs, showing the knife and
blood to be fake, the first in a series of incidents for Jun, coming home to
find Chie dead in a number of creative ways.
Jun finds this behaviour
baffling but work colleague Soma Sano (Ryohei Otani) finds it charming and tries
to help by inviting Jun and Chie to dinner along with Soma’s wife of five years,
Yumiko (Sumika Nono). Instead of their normality rubbing off on Chie, Soma and
Yumiko confess to their respective friends their marriage is in trouble and they
don’t know how to fix it.
