BRIEF SUMMARY:
On the day that Sakashita Kurumi is to move to her home, her fiance, Kitamura
Kazuya, disappears with all her money. Kurumi has already resigned from her job.
She is not close to her parents and also cannot depend on her grandfather who
lives in her hometown. Kurumi is just at at her wit’s end when spoken to by a
middle-aged traffic warden, Isse Ogata. The man, who has eaten the rice balls
that she had made for Kazuya, is moved to tears by the taste and sense of
nostalgia. This is the start of the story of Kurumi’s revival. Isse suggests a
job as a traffic warden to Kurumi. The box lunches she prepares in appreciation,
becomes a hit among the workers, and the circle of people who want to eat
Kurumi’s box lunches grows. Meanwhile, an unknown youth appears before Kurumi
with a message from Kazuya. It reads, “This is my son. Take care of him for a
while, I’ll definitely be back.” His son, Kouta, a second year junior high
school student, does not know that his father has a fiancee. “I won’t believe a
man like him!” he retorts, and leaves

劇情主要講述變得一無所有的女子久留米，通過自己的廚藝找回了自信的故事。觀月亞里沙飾演的久留美非常悲慘，她的未婚夫攜款私逃，是個失去了家庭、事業、住處、金錢和戀人等所有一切的35歲絕望單身女人。 久留美是一個35歲獨身女性。跟未婚夫和也訂婚後就辭掉了工作。誰料和也帶著兩個人所有的存款不知去向，久留米舉目無親，在公園里呆呆地徘徊，不知何去何從。這時候一個交通疏導員大叔走過來，關切地問她為什麼這麼失魂落魄的樣子。於是久留米把原本為未婚夫做的一盒萩餅給了大叔，大叔捏起一個放進嘴裡，眼角居然閃現了淚花……沒想到，這個人的出現，是久留米走出孤獨的契機。萩餅--便當--料理教室--
家庭宴會承辦方，久留米就像“稻秸富翁”一樣，邂逅不同的人，把自己擅長做飯的優點不斷擴大，生活也越來越好。就在這個時候，和也的兒子、讀初二的康太出現在久留米麵前，因為久留米要照顧他一段時間……
