BRIEF SUMMARY:
This special episode goes back to the very first case investigated by Date
Kazuyoshi. This first case will also give the audience some clue as to why and
how investigator Date has such different personality day and night.
Inspector Date Kazuyoshi (Sakai Masato)
is a mild-mannered, soft detective of Kanagawa Prefecture’s First Investigative
Division by day, but becomes a ruthless punisher who crushes brutal criminals by
night. He is teamed up with Miyashiro Asuka (Anne), a rookie detective who is
the daughter of his good friend, Miyashiro Natsuki, who joined the police force
in the same year.

特別篇最主要從描述伊達的第一件案件，從中他的心理掙扎，說出作為神隱手的痛苦，為JOKER說一些好話。第一件案件和往後的有所不同，除了是第一次之外，不能制裁的是一個警察。他為兒子的醫藥費而出賣情報，這跟伊達有一點相似，也是為家人而犯罪…伊達溜連於是否應該私自制裁他的想法，到最後才下決心開槍。
主角伊達一義，白天是溫厚又治癒的神奈川縣警搜查1課的刑警。但到了晚上他則變身為嚴格制裁嫌疑人的冷酷角色。曾出演過NHK04年大河劇《新選組！》、08年的《篤姬》，讓堺雅人人氣大增。尤其是在《篤姬》中扮演主人公篤姬的丈夫、裝傻將軍德川家定，這讓堺雅人的演技受到了極大的肯定。富士電視臺的立松嗣章製作人對堺雅人非常信賴：“能夠表現出溫柔表情下的某種瘋狂，這只有堺才能做到。”同出演扮演鑒識官·久遠健志的，是NEWS和關八成員錦戶亮。由於內心曾經受過傷害，所以對“惡”總是會有過激反應、內心隱藏著兇暴性。而和伊達合作的新任女刑警則由多方活躍的杏扮演。另外鹿賀丈史、大杉漣等也將出演。
