BRIEF SUMMARY:     Komikado Kensuke (Sakai Masato) passed the bar exam while studying in the law  faculty of a third-rate university and opened a law firm. A person with  character defects, he is cranky, caustic, temperamental, cynical, proud and  spendthrift; loves money, prestige and women. Because of that, he has the worst  reputation within the legal profession. But he has never once lost a case and  will do whatever it takes because of his conviction that “winners are right”.  The people around him are skeptical of his way of doing things. However,  Komikado gradually realises that his vision of justice is a pipe dream, and  begins to remember the spirit of fighting and not giving up that he had  forgotten. Mayuzumi Machiko (Aragaki Yui) is an earnest rookie lawyer who has a  strong sense of justice and is passionate about the socially vulnerable but  tactless and inflexible. A strange turn of events result in the two of them  working together as colleagues, but the two of them fight like like cat and dog,  and clash over almost everything.

Hanyu Haruki (Okada Masaki) is a young lawyer at  the legal firm Nexus which he set up with a buddy. He believes that because the  law is created by humans, it is not perfect. Rather than administer justice  through law, points of compromise should be found for a win-win solution. Hanyu  ends up facing off against Komikado Kensuke (Sakai Masato) and Mayuzumi Machiko  (Aragaki Yui) at court in each trial. But unlike Komikado who views lawsuits as  games and has no hesitation in declaring that “winners are justice”, Hanyu aims  for a solution which both the plaintiff and the defendant will accept. He is a  natural at deception. This coupled with his innocent smile even ensnares  Komikado. Although they are always at odds because of work, he privately shows  an interest in Machiko and appears to have more than just friendly feelings for  her. He takes action whenever he has the opportunity and tails her

當一個充滿著正義感的年輕女律師遇上一個唯利是圖，有著不敗訴訟記錄的怪律師，將會擦出什麼樣的火花呢？一位是充滿毒舌、貪財又好色，卻從未敗訴過的金牌律師古美門研介，和一位充滿熱血、正義感強，卻愛較真的新人律師黛真知子，性格和信念都迥然相異、水火不容的這兩人，私底下雖然在不停吵嘴、互相攻擊，然而在法庭上將並肩作戰、攜手追求真相，打贏一場又一場的司法訴訟。
 
古美門研介，38歲 (堺雅人 飾演)
 
個性乖僻，愛講刻薄話，性情飄忽不定的人，又善於浪費，可以說是人格失敗者，不過訴訟的勝率卻是100%的能力律師，是追求訴訟勝利的策略和天才，「勝的人才是正義」一直是他的座右銘在三流大學法律系3年級時，想起要以司法考試學習為主，考試一次合格成為了律師。從屬於以前三木長一郎擔任所長的三木法律事務所，不過由於某種理由而離開。之後成為許多大客戶的法律顧問而獨立，建立起豪華的住所兼個人律師事務所，用高額的顧問費換取奢華的生活，就算不出庭也有山珍海味可以享用
 
黛真知子，25歲 (新垣結衣 飾演)
主張社會道義，弱者救濟的思想，將整本六法全書背起來，經過拼命學習才司法考試合格的女性律師。常因為正義感過強不能變通而與人爭，是出身上班族家庭的長女。B型，從小學1年級的時候開始擔任班長。綽號「晨間劇女主角」。早稻田大學法學系入學，以律師作為人生的目標。順便一提她是個音痴，天性樂觀的性格使得不愉快的事很容易忘記。不過和古美門在一起總是對立，在一起工作後更被古美門的任意差遣，兩人總有吵不完的架。
 
三木長一郎，50歲 (生瀬勝久 飾演)
 三木律師事務所的所長，古美門的原上司。以前當檢察官時曾對許多犯罪事件和政治貪污立案的頂尖人物，與新手律師的古美門相遇後找到作為律師的資質，突然辭職成為律師。同時拉拔古美門並且培育他，告訴作為法律界人士的知識和技術。對逐漸開始顯露頭角的古美門開始感到厭惡，對他燃起異常的敵心。作為傳說的律師與古美門的父親其實有著附帶的關係。
 
沢地君江，35歲 (小池栄子 飾演) 三木長一郎的秘書。
