Title: The Story of Asahiyama Zoo 2006+ 2007 DVD

STARRING: Asahiyama Zoo is  located in the Japan's  northernmost  beautiful Hokkaido. It is the most popular zoo in Japan, however, it didn't start out this way, actually the zoo was faced being shut down because the low attending rate. Much of the credit for the popularity of the zoo, which is run by the city of Asahikawa, Hokkaido, goes to Masao Kosuge, the zoo's director since 1995. Kosuge, 57, oversees a staff of 19, and together they tend 815 animals belonging to 150 species. A veterinarian by profession, Kosuge recently found himself in great demand as a speaker at economic foundations and other business-oriented groups.

This zoo has offered different species of animals not only a place to live but their natural state home sweet home.

劇 名﹕奇跡動物園~旭山動物園物語 2006+2007 DVD

劇 情﹕  1986年～坂内 禅（山口智充）作為飼育員兼獸醫，來到旭山動物園看到只知酣睡且没有精神的動物們，以及閒散的動物園的情况，感到大吃一驚.....便日向小野園長（津川雅彦）抗議說道：「為什麼要把動物都關在栅欄裡呢？」

經驗豐富的飼育員～牧原（伊東四朗）將幼小的生命托付給了這樣的坂内。是一個在森林中失去了父母，受到保護的野生小熊。從小時候起就因非常喜歡動物，而飼養國內各種各樣寵物的坂内很快就開始照顧小熊了。但是，過了幾個月後，小熊還是完全没有和坂内親近起來。從不依賴人類，自我求生的小熊身上， 坂内第一次感受到「野生動物生命的清高之處」。

在坂内滋生了新的熱情的同時，没有客源的動物園却被批判為「蛀蟲」。雖然這樣，坂内等飼育人員以及園長並没有放棄，仍然編織着夢想。理想的動物園應該是什麼樣的？怎樣才能想辦法讓動物們展現出鮮活的生命力，或讓人驚嘆的能力？這其中，引發了一場事關動物園存活的風波。

坂内等人是否能够渡過封園的危機，並實現「理想的動物園」呢？
