BRIEF SUMMARY:
This drama is based on a novel called Rocket Boys 2005. Endo Yuuya played
a 16 years old student who failed to enter his desired high school due to a car
accident. He ended up enrolling another high school against his will.
As much as he hates his new school. he still tries to show up, but that's pretty
much about what he does when he's in school. However, one day by whatever
reason, he entered himself in a prestigious national Science Competition.
Not knowing a thing about math or science or anything. He has to figure out a
way on building a rocket and hopefully send it to the orbit.

由於遭遇到意外的車禍，原本一心想和自己喜愛著的同班同學彩子一起去報考同一所文科高中的尾屋信介，結果卻無可奈何地考進了理科的王島工業高中。
進入高中後，整天游手好閒，對生活自暴自棄的小信，卻因為一件意料不到的事情，被捲入了一場事關著學校榮譽的競賽之中，要求設計並製造出一顆超小型的人造衛星，並把它發射升空。
對於只知道每天逃課去打彈子機的小信，這個需要相當的高等數學知識和設計製造技術的項目，根本就是無法完成的任務。
不過小信也有其閃光的地方，先後找到了被人稱為書大呆子的成田政孝-擁有天才般數學頭腦、但得有自閉症的雷盟、嘴裡只會"嗯" "啊"
卻內心溫柔的不良少年翔、還有初中時候的同班同學的女朋友彩子和迷戀上彩子的東工大電玩狂等等朋友的幫忙，以及小信好色的車工爺爺和兩個死黨，人稱天才彈子王的龍與熱衷於搞聯誼的五反田，他們的大力支持，總算製作出了一個超小型的人造衛星。
不過小信他們製作出來的衛星，到底是否能夠安全升空，順利地進入太空軌道呢?讓我們拭目以待吧~
