BRIEF SUMMARY: Because speech therapist Murakami Midori’s (Kimura Yoshino) first love, Mishima Tadashi (Ihara Tsuyoshi), had broken his promise to come and get her if he became a doctor, she did not want to be reminded of him again. She is saved by Jun (Aoki Munetaka), a younger man and breaks away from the pain of her first love. They marry and live happily. But one day, Midori is diagnosed with liver cancer and told that the surgery will be extremely difficult. Only a doctor from overseas can do that surgery. Mishima appears in front of Midori. She is shaken by this unexpected reunion, but finds the will to live for her family and entrusts her life to Mishima.
