劇 情﹕推理要在晚餐後》故事以千金大小姐刑警與她的毒舌管家為主角，由欠缺常識的千金刑警麗子(北川景子 飾)在現場調查凶案現場後，回家一邊吃晚餐一邊和在旁服侍的管家影山(櫻井翔 飾)閒聊案情，再由影山一針見血地解開謎團。本劇並加入影山變裝潛入凶案現場觀察麗子的行動，為原著所沒有的設定。

榮獲2011年本屋大賞，銷量約140萬部的最佳暢銷作品《推理要在晚餐後》（東川篤哉著/小學館刊）將被拍成電視連續劇於10月開始在週二晚9點擋登陸螢屏。主人公，毒舌執事影山的扮演者是首次主演富士台電視連續劇的嵐成員櫻井翔。另外，影山伺候的大小姐刑警麗子將由北山景子出演

麗子是世界聞名的集團企業“寶生集團”社長的獨生女兒，影山是麗子的執事兼司機。隱藏真實身份，成為國立警局一名新人刑警的“大小姐”麗子，每當遇到難解的事件時就會在自家的豪宅裏把事件的始末如閒聊般一一告訴為她侍候晚餐的影山。影山繼續著他完美的服務，但是對於主人“大小姐”麗子的推理無能，他會用幾近粗俗的毒舌直接指出“請恕我失禮大小姐……大小姐的眼睛是畫上去的嗎？”，然後一鼓作氣解決謎題，直逼事件的真相。毒舌執事影山，大小姐刑警麗子等個性鮮明的登場人物，他們的對話潮流而幽默，並且極富節奏感。原作更是因為不直接面對犯人而對事件作出推理這種被譽為“安樂椅偵探”的嶄新的解謎之樂，收穫了極高的人氣和爆炸性的銷量。電視劇在保留了原作魅力的同時，還加入了頗多原創設定，意在打造前所未有的全新模式的懸疑劇。
