BRIEF SUMMARY:  Sawamoto Daichi (Sorimachi Takashi) is a news reporter at a newspaper publishing company. Work has always been his priority and he does not concern himself with his family. Daichi becomes aware of Waku’s unconditional love for him but just as he is about to reciprocate, he discovers that Waku has leukemia. 改編自韓國作家趙昌仁的2000年出版的大熱小說《刺魚》，講述一位父親和身患白血病的兒子之間的感人故事。
反町隆史飾演在報社工作的社會部記者澤本大地，劇中是一位被家務事和育兒問題搞得一團糟的父親，他說：「我希望這個父親角色能讓觀眾自然而然產生感情，展現出真正的親情。」該劇根據韓國暢銷小說改編，講述一個對部下毫不客氣、為工作不顧家庭的男子在妻子出走，兒子查出患有白血病之後，為了孩子全心奉獻的故事。其他演員方面有飾演小兒科專家的榮倉奈奈，飾演澤本妻子的井川遙，飾演醫生的伊原剛志等。
